The Design Recommendations for Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITSs) series explores the impact of ITS design on education and training. Specifically, this book volume includes discussion of applications for Professional Career Education. The types of training that occurs in professional education tend to be more applied, and experiential than in traditional ITSs. This book highlights general approaches and techniques that can be beneficial to developing ITSs for professional career education. Additionally, the book includes chapters with specific use cases where ITSs have been implemented in diverse domains including medical, teaching, commercial pilot, and manufacturing training.
